What Does Chevy Have in Store for the 2023 Model Year?

After all, a brand that’s been around since 1911 has to evolve to keep up with changing tastes and incorporate new technologies. Year after year, Chevy’s models are updated to reflect the current times. With new features and trim levels coming out all the time, it can be difficult to keep up with the latest automotive news. But don’t panic; we’ve rounded up all the info you need about what’s in store for Chevy’s 2023 model year. Whether you prefer a hotrod performance car, a spacious SUV, or an eco-friendly electric vehicle, there’s something for you to look forward to.

The 2023 Corvette

Perhaps Chevy’s most iconic offering, the Corvette first went into production in 1953, and Chevrolet is celebrating the sports car’s 70th anniversary with a special edition. Available in either black or white, the 70th Anniversary Edition can either be styled with a single color or accented with a pair of racing stripes that reflect its legendary performance. For a splash of color, there are red accents throughout the design, from the exclusive wheels to the stitching throughout the interior. A pair of badges, one on the inside and one on the outside, commemorate the Corvette’s 70th birthday.

If you can’t afford to go all-out and spring for this package, don’t worry. You’ll still get a plaque on the center speaker and a graphic on the rear window that celebrates the anniversary, along with a few changes for the 2023 model year. Newly designed 20-spoke wheels are available and can either be bright machine-forged, carbon flash-painted with a red stripe, gloss black, or bronze forged. On the 3LT trim, a new interior color scheme is available: Adrenaline Red Dipped. This covers almost every surface inside the Chevrolet Corvette in a bold shade of red.

But the version of the Corvette that has car enthusiasts really excited is the Z06. This racetrack-ready supercar is wider than the Corvette Stingray and has a rear wing and a more aerodynamic design. But the Z06 doesn’t just look fast; it backs up its racecar appearance with a flat-plane V8 engine that provides 670 horsepower and can bring the car from 0 to 60 in 2.6 seconds.

The 2023 Blazer

Just glancing at the 2023 Chevy Blazer, you can tell that it has a different look from earlier model years. The front of the SUV has gotten a significant makeover, with a stylish new design for the grille and front fascia. Its wheels have a new design, too, with a sleek, symmetrical geometric design that goes nicely with the grille.

There are also new paint colors available this year, so you can pick one that perfectly matches your style. Copper bronze metallic offers a classy look with earth-tone vibes. Sterling Gray Metallic feels futuristic yet timeless. Radiant Red Tintcoat gives the car a bold look that’s sure to draw attention from passers-by.

But not all of the Blazer’s changes are visible from the outside; there are some interior upgrades too. The 10.2-inch touchscreen built into the dashboard is bigger than it used to be, which makes it easier to see information at a glance, so you won’t get distracted while driving. It also provides more space for the various digital “buttons” on the screen, so you’re less likely to accidentally press the wrong one.

A wireless charging pad has been added to the Blazer as well. It comes standard on the RS and Premier trims and is available on the 2LT and 3LT. Instead of having to fiddle with a cable, make sure it’s fully plugged in on both ends, and risk getting it tangled up, you can simply set your phone down in its designated spot and let it charge while you drive.

The 2023 Trailblazer

More compact and affordable than the Blazer, Chevy’s Trailblazer has only been around since 2021 (though it had a different model of the same name years ago), so it’s not due for a complete overhaul just yet. However, buyers do get a few new exterior paint colors to choose from. Nitro Yellow Metallic stands out from the crowd, Fountain Blue is more soothing while still bright and colorful, and Sterling Gray Metallic provides a classy look with an appealing shine. An Iridescent Pearl Tricoat is also available for the roof’s contrast color.

The 2023 Bolt EV & EUV

The Bolt is an all-electric offering from Chevrolet, and it comes in two versions. The Bolt EV is a compact hatchback, while the Bolt EUV is an SUV that provides more interior space while still having an impressive range. For the 2022 model year, the EV got a pretty significant makeover inside and out and got a more capable dual-level charging cord, while the EUV was introduced to the lineup for the first time.

The changes for the 2023 model year are less drastic than that, but one big difference should make drivers who want to be both eco-friendly and budget-conscious very happy. The price of both versions has dropped significantly, bringing the MSRP down to under $30,000 for both trims of the EV and the EUV’s basic trim. If the high cost of electric vehicles has been keeping you from making the switch, this might be just the incentive you need to go green with your next car and say goodbye to pain at the pump.

On top of the price drop, the Bolt has some new options when it comes to aesthetics. If your favorite color is red, you definitely come out on top with these changes. The Bolt EV is now available with a Radiant Red Tintcoat, while the Bolt EUV gets a whole new Redline Edition. This package can be added to either the LT or Premier trims, and it features wheels with a red stripe as well as a glossy black exterior trim that replaces the standard chrome. This stylish edition has proved popular on other Chevy vehicles, and it should fit the Bolt EUV’s design nicely.

Beyond 2023

Always looking to the future, Chevy has made some announcements about vehicles that should be coming out a few years down the road. While Chevrolet already has two great electric offerings with the Bolt EV and EUV, they’re looking to go even further with all-electric versions of several models that drivers already know and love. Electric versions of the Blazer, Equinox, Silverado, and Corvette are in the works, which would make Chevy’s lineup of EVs incredibly diverse, including everything from SUVs and trucks to sports cars.
