Shopping for a Chevy Silverado 2500 HD for sale? You’ll want to get a model that best appeals to what you need the three-quarter-ton pickup for, whether that’s handling heavy payloads, trailering, towing, plowing, or upfitting. Whatever you have in store for your heavy-duty truck, you must first decide which 2023 model to go with, and there are a handful. But which one is the right one for you?

That’s where our trim guide comes in; many people are looking for the right model but want to have all the right information before committing to a purchase. We can help you with that information by providing you with the necessary rundown on what you get with each trim and whether or not certain configurations of the 2023 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD will be right for you. Let’s take a closer look at the 2023 Silverado 2500 HD lineup and what each unique trim offers.

Five Trims to Choose From

The lineup for the 2023 Silverado 2500 HD consists of five different trims. These trims offer an excellent array of features depending on your budget and shopping preferences and consist of the WT, Custom, LT, LTZ, and High Country. Each trim is also available in a variety of colors, with some trims available in up to nine different colors. This includes Summit White, Iridescent Pearl Tricoat, Silver Ice Metallic, Red hot, Cherry Red Tintcoat, Greenstone Metallic, Northy Blue Metallic, Mosaic Black Metallic, and Black.

Each of these trims offers something distinct based on what you need the truck for. There is the base Work Truck, which is exactly what the name implies, being designed for work purposes with no frills. The Custom offers a few more amenities over the Work Truck for those looking for a little more in their basic work truck. The LT and the LTZ both offer more tech and comfort features while still being highly practical. Finally, the High Country is a luxury-oriented three-quarter-ton pickup.

A Variety of Configurations

Every 2023 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD trim is available in multiple configurations, which is important depending on what you plan on using the truck for and what kind of format best suits your trucking needs. The 2023 Silverado 2500 HD is available in three different cab formats, two different bed formats, two different engine options, and is available with two different powertrains. It also has a max trailering capacity of 18,510 lbs and a max payload capacity of 3,979 lbs, making this the perfect job site workhorse.

You have a Regular Cab with two doors, a Double Cab with two and two half doors, and a Crew Cab with four doors. There is also a Standard Bed with 69.6 cu.ft. of cargo volume and a Long Bed with 83.5 cu.ft. of cargo volume. The Silverado 2500 HD can also be configured in either rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive and paired with a 6.6-liter gas-powered V8 that generates 401 hp at 464 lb-ft of torque or a 6.6-liter Duramax turbo-diesel V8 that gets 445 hp at 910 lb-ft of torque. All 2023 models can be paired with either the V8 gas engine or the Duramax V8. Additionally, all trims can be configured to use the available Multi-Flex Tailgate, which offers six different tailgate configurations.

The Work Truck is available with eight different wheel options, ranging from 17 inches up to 18-inch high-gloss wheels. Jet Black vinyl or cloth for the interior is also available, along with many standard features, such as hitch guidance, a transfer case for the four-wheel drive configuration, and a manual lift tailgate. Halogen reflector headlamps, black recovery hooks, manually adjustable side mirrors, and solar-absorbing glass also come standard.
Additionally, you have a basic 2-speaker audio system, a 3.5-inch monochromatic digital driver information display, a 7-inch HD diagonal color touchscreen featuring the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 System with Bluetooth connectivity, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. A manual-tilt steering wheel and available power windows for the Double and Crew Cab help round out the Work Truck features.

The Custom

While the Work Truck is available in only six colors, the Custom is a Chevy Silverado 2500 HD for sale that is available in seven different colors and comes with 20-inch 10-spoke machined-aluminum wheels with grazen metallic painted accents. It has all of the same features as the Work Truck trim but with a 6-speaker audio system instead of a 2-speaker system, and it comes standard with Cruise Control. You also have color-keyed floor carpeting with vinyl floor mats for the front and rear if you have a Double or Crew Cab. The Custom also features a rear vision camera, remote keyless entry, and power windows. However, unlike the Work Truck, the Custom is only available with a cloth interior instead of optional vinyl.

The LT

The LT trim has seven different wheel options, from 17-inch aluminum wheels up to 20-inch high-gloss aluminum wheels. The LT has access to nine different colors; it features everything from the Custom trim but also has an integrated trailer brake controller for towing and trailering. Deep tinted glass behind the front doors comes standard, along with vertical trailering mirrors, heated upper glass, and power-adjustable manual-folding and manual-extending side mirrors with integrated turn signals.

The LT trim also comes with an EZ Lift tailgate with power and lock release. In addition to the standard infotainment suite, you also get steering wheel-mounted audio controls, phone controls, and cruise control. The other infotainment bonus comes in the form of a 3-month trial subscription to the SiriusXM Platinum Plan. For the interior, you also have the choice between Jet Black or Gideon Cloth upholstery or Jet Black or Gideon leather upholstery.

The LTZ

Like the LT, the LTZ is also available in nine different colors. The LTZ, however, comes with quite a few standard features, including an advanced trailering system for trailer maintenance reminders, trailer security, a trailering checklist, reminders for diagnostics, and trailer mileage. The Hitch Guidance also comes with Hitch View, so you can see where the trailer is positioned and where the truck is relative to the trailer. You get all of the features from the LT, but with an LED lighting array, auto-dimming and heated power-adjustable and power-extending mirrors, along with puddle lamps and perimeter lighting with chrome mirror caps.

The LTZ also features keyless open and start, remote vehicle start, and a 10-way power driver and front passenger seats with power lumbar control. You also get a heated and wrapped steering wheel with all of the media controls from the LT. Additionally, the LTZ is available in either Jet Black perforated leather seats, Gideon perforated leather seats, or Carhartt Brown perforated leather seats.

The High Country

The High Country is the top-level trim for the 2023 model year Silverado 2500 HD. If you were looking for a Chevy Silverado 2500 HD for sale with all the best available features right from the start, the High Country is the way to go. It comes with all of the high-end features from the LTZ but is only available in eight different color options. The High Country also comes with 20-inch 16-spoke polished-aluminum wheels.

With the High Country, you get exterior chrome 6-inch assist steps, a spray-on Chevytec bedliner with a High Country badge, and a Bed View Camera as part of the advanced trailering tech system. In addition to having all of the basic features from the LTZ, the High Country also comes with additional standard safety and driver assist features, such as rear cross traffic alert, lane change alert with side blind zone alert, and HD Surround Vision. The infotainment system also includes built-in navigation services, while heating and ventilated leather seating in Jet Black or Jet Black and Umber are also available.
